Fought between the Colonists and Native Americans in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, King Philip's War occurred in 1675-1676. Using slides of battle sites, period sketches, and maps, author Michael Tougias gives a narrated slide presentation taking the viewer from the start of the war to its finish. On a per capita basis this was the bloodiest conflict in our nation's history. Tougias is an author of 16 books including two books about King Philip's War. Michael Tougias is the author of 16 books. His latest book Ten Hours Until Dawn: The True Story of Heroism and Tragedy Aboard the Can Do is a National Bestseller. Ten Hours Until Dawn was also selected by the American Library Association as one of the "Top Books of the Year" and described as "a white-knuckle read, the best book of its kind." He has also written and co-authored two books on King Philip's War. On a lighter note, Tougias chronicled his misadventures at his remote cabin in Vermont in his award-winning book There's A Porcupine In My Outhouse: Misadventures of a Mountain Man Wanna-be. This book won the Independent Publishers Association Award for the "The Best Nature Book of the Year."
