Forests of Southern Rhode Island

The Southern New England Forest Consortium contracted with Mr. Mancini to photograph both industrial archaeology (dams, concrete walls, rubber foundations, old roads, etc.) along with all the different trees found in Southern RI. Photographs of the forest floor, tree canopy, Alpine and Swamp environments along with old growth forest and tree diseases and wood products. Hear also about clear cut vs. selective managing of our local forests.

Salvatore Mancini is a photographer who has been published and has exhibited his work throughout the United States and Europe. He has been the recipient of the Pell award, fellowships from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA) and the Bolaffi Prize (Italy’s most prestigious prize for photography).
