Rhode Island Legacy
Bringing History to Life
What is Legacy?
The Rhode Island Legacy program is a drama and discussion series. Each
performance opens with two characters in a fifteen-minute historical drama based on a critical event in Rhode Island history. When the formal portion of the drama ends, the actors remain in historical character, discussing and debating the ideas reflected in the actual historical event.
Beginning in 1643 with colony founders Roger Williams and Anne Hutchinson, Legacy offers seven presentations which use key historical events to illuminate the state's past and its unique character.
Legacy is now available for anyone who wishes to book the performances through our EnRICHment Opportunities. The fee for this program only is $340.00 per performance.
Call Program Director, Risa Gilpin at (401) 273-2250 to book a performance. Thanks!
