Gladys Corvera-Baker, MSW is owner and Founding Director of Galeria Internacional de Herencia y Cultura (International Gallery for Heritage and Culture) in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where she develops art and cultural programs for a variety of constituents including children, seniors and low income families, and coordinates art and culture exchange programs with the U.S. She is also the founder of Centro Cultural Andino, Inc. a R.I based non-profit organization to promote and preserve the Andean Cultures. She has served on numerous boards including Talbot treatment Centers, Inc. and the International Institute of Rhode Island. She currently serves as a Rhode Island College Foundation trustee.  Her awards include: Special Recognition for Philanthropic Services by the National Society of Fundraising Executives, Rhode Island College Alumni Honor Roll in Social Work in 2004, and the 2006 Distinguished Woman Award, given by City Officials of Cochabamba, Bolivia. For the last four years she has been a member in the committee for The American Cancer Society Newport Gala, a major fundraiser for the mission of the society.
