Roger Blumberg is a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Computer Science at Brown University, where since 1998 he has specialized in, and taught courses about, Educational Software and the impact of computing on society. He has been working in the area of educational technology since the inception of the World Wide Web, first as the author of the award-winning MendelWeb (www.mendelweb.org), and then as Brown's representative to the U.S. Department of Education's OERI-sponsored NetTech. As Senior Hypermedia Researcher at Brown's Scholarly Technology Group, he organized the NetTech-sponsored "Hypermedia, Teaching & Technology Conference" in 1996, and subsequently consulted on several electronic curriculum projects including the award-winning digital version of the Rhode Island oral history project: What Did You Do in the War, Grandma?
